About Solar Care Inc. 

I started Solar Care Inc. in 1986 in Encinitas, California, with a simple goal: help people feel more comfortable while protecting the things they’ve worked hard for. Since then, that mission has remained the same.

Like many people, I knew what it was like to get into a car that felt like an oven, deal with blinding glare, or watch the sun take a toll on a vehicle or the inside of a home. Meanwhile, I saw families, homeowners, and business owners dealing with those same frustrations. As a result, I realized there was a practical solution—and that’s how Solar Care began.

From the start, this business has never been just about installing window film. Instead, it’s about helping people enjoy more comfortable vehicles, homes, and workplaces while providing solutions that fit their needs. Today, we’re proud to serve homeowners, businesses, and drivers throughout Southern California with residential, commercial, and automotive window film solutions.

Where My Work Ethic Came From

Long before I owned a business, I learned the value of hard work. Initially, I delivered newspapers, worked in flower fields, helped neighbors with yard work, and detailed cars whenever I had the chance.

Because of those experiences, I learned to show up on time, do the job right, and respect the trust people place in you. In fact, I didn’t grow up believing in shortcuts. Instead, I learned that if I wanted to improve, I had to earn it. To this day, that same mindset continues to shape Solar Care and the way we serve our customers.

One thing that’s never changed is how we treat our customers. That’s why we believe in honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and taking the time to do every job right. In addition, we offer convenient mobile installation because we know your time is valuable and want the experience to be as simple and stress-free as possible.

Over the years, Solar Care has remained family-owned and operated, and we’ve chosen to grow by earning people’s trust instead of chasing rapid expansion. Because of that, much of our business has come from referrals and repeat customers—something I’ll never take for granted.

Likewise, we’re committed to staying informed about industry best practices. For example, organizations like the International Window Film Association (IWFA) help promote professionalism, consumer education, and high standards throughout the window film industry. By continuing to learn, we can better serve our customers and provide the level of care they’ve come to expect from Solar Care.
